Argia is a ritual of olfactory ethnography that documents the connection between the human body and the bite of the invisible. This fragrance holds the memory of healing practices widespread throughout the Mediterranean basin, where spider venom becomes the catalyst for a collective ritual dance. It is a dialogue between botany and myth, between the Sardinian ballu de s’arza and the deep roots of tarantism and pizzica.

The Three Phases of the Rite

• Evocation: The bite. The accord opens with a luminous injection of yellow flowers, Ylang-Ylang and Acacia. It is the entry of the venom, a golden and narcotic energy that invades the senses.
• Manifestation: The trance. The density of ripe fruit merges with deep animalic notes, recalling the physiological reaction to the venom. It is the moment of sacred delirium, where scent becomes an ancient language to sound the world.
• Transformation: The liberation. The call of hay (Foin) and the trampled earth tell the end of the dance. It is the dust raised by feet beating the rhythm, the sweat that purifies, the healing that is achieved through movement and sound.
