The ritual of fumigation, reinterpreted

A white ceramic tile, a domestic altar. Infumera originates from the legacy of sa mexina de sa timoria, (the medicine against fright) the ancient Sardinian fumigation ritual: once, on burning tiles, incense, coffee, and wax were burned to dissolve and cast out the demon of fear from the body of the unfortunate, in a gesture that combined physical and symbolic care.

From that memory, Infumera transforms the ritual into an object of high artistic craftsmanship. It welcomes the incense cone and releases its smoke in a pure and unhindered vertical ascent, the same trajectory that once carried away fear, today returning the scent of an ancestral ritual.

The material surface, thick and silent, preserves the warmth and makes visible the invisible passage of the per-fumum. An instrument that narrates an ancient gesture, the contemporary heir of knowledge that united body, aroma, and care.

Each Infumera is kept in a wooden box, designed to protect the artifact like a cult object.

Each cone is handcrafted according to the tradition of perfumery, blended with high-quality resins and extracts that evoke the ingredients of the rituals, expertly balanced by the Maison's Nose.

How to use
Place the cone in the center of the surface, on one of the refractory coins provided, allow the smoke to rise according to its natural zenithal diffusion and its sweet scent to spread throughout the environment and your ritual space.

Materials
Thin crystal polished white ceramic, 15 birch charcoal cones, resins, balms and oils, entirely handmade.
